The rarest variant, 251-350, were issued in full vellum, but decorated with the same retitled pattern as that of 1913's 'In Powder & Crinoline', as here, this being number 273 and signed by Kay Nielsen on limitation page. ![]() World War I disrupted publication of Kay Nielsen's final two works this limited deluxe edition was issued in various bindings numbers 1-250 were produced in full vellum and patterned in gilt after the black & white image prefacing the text of this book. Kay Nielsen's penultimate illustrated work, 'Fairy Tales by Hans Andersen', published in 1924 by Hodder and Stoughton in London. ![]()
